2 Jul 2020
Between Saturday 18 July and Sunday 9 August, the Undercover Policing Inquiry will be installing an upgraded IT system in its offices. The upgraded system will improve the Inquiry’s capacity, capability and efficiency.
During these three weeks, the Inquiry offices will be closed. Inquiry staff will be working from home, and scheduled meetings with stakeholders – such as core participants – will not be affected. The installation has been considered in the Inquiry’s planning work and has been taken into account in the timing of the Inquiry’s first evidence hearings, which are planned for November 2020.
Once the Inquiry offices reopen on Monday 10 August, a limited number of staff members – who need to attend the office to progress their work – will be able to return to the office. This arrangement follows a detailed risk assessment and the introduction of stringent measures to ensure staff safety and continued compliance with government guidance regarding social distancing. Further updates on the office arrangements will be provided in due course.
You can contact the Inquiry at [email protected] at any time.
