On Thursday 29 June 2023, The Undercover Policing Inquiry’s Tranche 1 Interim Report will be published on the Inquiry’s website. The report will be published at 11:30AM.

The Interim report will cover Tranche 1 of the Inquiry’s investigations: Special Demonstration Squad officers and managers and those affected by deployments (1968-1982).

Selected individuals with a particular interest in the report, including core participants to the Inquiry, will have an opportunity to read the report in advance of publication. This access is covered by a Restriction Order and details about this access will be shared separately by the Inquiry team.

Members of the media will have an opportunity to read the interim report before publication earlier in the morning of Thursday 29 June. This will be in the form of a media lock-in. Members of the media will need to request attendance at the lock-in by emailing [email protected] before 23:59 PM on Thursday 22 June, after which they will be provided with the details of the venue. To gain entrance to the lock-in, members of the media will be expected to present a valid identification demonstrating their media status. The venue can accommodate up to 20 people for the lock-in. If demand exceeds capacity, attendance will be limited to one representative per media organisation.
